भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम के पूर्व आल राउंडर और पश्चिम बंगाल के खेल राज्य मंत्री लक्ष्मी रतन शुक्ला की पत्नी कोविड-19 परीक्षण की जांच में पॉजिटिव आयी हैं। अधिकारियों ने शनिवार को यह जानकारी दी। 

अधिकारियों ने कहा कि राज्य के स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण विभाग की उप सचिव स्मिता सान्याल शुक्ला शुक्रवार को जांच में वायरस संक्रमण में पॉजिटिव आयी हैं। स्वास्थ्य अधिकारियों ने कहा कि उन्हें हल्का बुखार था और प्रोटोकॉल के अंतर्गत वह घर पर पृथकवास में हैं। 

बंगाल रणजी टीम के पूर्व कप्तान शुक्ला ने पीटीआई-भाषा से कहा, ‘‘हां, मेरी पत्नी स्मिता कोविड-19 पॉजिटिव आयी हैं। उन्हें हल्का बुखार है और वह दी हुई दवाईयां ले रही हैं। मैं, हमारे दो बेटे और मेरे वृद्ध पिता हम सभी घर पर पृथकवास में हैं। हमने गुरूवार को अपना कोविड-19 परीक्षण कराया था। ’’ 

आपको बता दें बंगाल रणजी टीम के लिए खेल चुके लक्ष्मी रतन शुक्ला भारत के लिए तीन वनडे मैच खेल चुके हैं। इसके अलावा 137 फर्स्ट क्लास मैच और 141 लिस्ट ए मैच खेल चुके हैं। 

वहीं वह 81 टी-20 मैचों में भी नजर आक चुके हैं।
